PACIFIC provides services in structural and material forensic analysis.  Our expertise is related to issues such as structural design, structural materials, non-destructive examination (NDE), and nonstructural materials such as paint, sealants, and concrete curing compounds.  Our scope of work typically involves review of as-built plans and specifications, unpublished and published literature review, analysis of the structure, perform site evaluations, perform computer aided analyses, and reporting.  PACIFIC professionals consult with the clients throughout the forensic investigation to support their decision making process.  As necessary, PACIFIC can provide expert testimony in legal cases. The experience of PACIFIC leadership as experts can prevent losses to PACIFIC clients.  These loss prevention practices are incorporated in all of PACIFIC design work and construction activities.

PACIFIC can examine the soundness of an existing building’s structural components for rehabilitation, renovation or redevelopment.  PACIFIC is also called upon to investigate situations where site inspections were not performed per requirements during construction or where a component of the site construction has failed or where repair is required.  PACIFIC engineers inspect the area, diagnose any problems, and assist in developing solutions for reuse, or corrective and preventative measures for repair.
